Careers

Build with people who care how it runs later.

A small Hong Kong team. Real client work. Clear ownership. If you like shipping carefully and talking straight, you will fit.

Why join us

Work that lands in production — and stays there.

Real ownership

You shape scope, talk to clients, and see work through handover. No ticket farm where nobody owns the outcome.

Engineering culture

Foundations over flash. We favour maintainable systems, honest estimates, and demos that match reality.

Small team, full stack of problems

Custom software, productized offers, private AI, forward-deployed embeds. Variety without chaos — we keep capacity intentional.

Hong Kong rooted

Local clients, local rhythm. Hybrid and remote-friendly within the city; we meet when the work needs faces in the room.

Career growth

We believe the company grows only when people grow. Employees are our most valuable asset — we invest in skills, ownership, and the next step in your craft.

How we work

Four habits. No theatre.

We protect focus, measure what shipped, and keep work visible — so the team can move without waiting on a meeting.

Async by default Write it down first. Calls when a decision needs faces — not to fill a calendar. Respect deep work; escalate when blocked.
Result driven Progress means working software, closed scopes, and clear outcomes — not slide decks or busy status.
Ownership You take a problem end to end: scope, ship, handover. If it is yours, you finish the loop.
Transparency Honest estimates, early risk flags, open access to status and docs. No surprise demos that hide the real state.

Open roles

Roles we are shaping

Sample openings to show how we hire. Titles and scope may shift — send a note if the shape fits even if the label does not.

Sales Associate

Sales · Hong Kong · Hybrid · Full-time

First line for inbound. Most deals start on WhatsApp. Your job is to qualify fast, price honestly against our fixed offers, and book a kickoff engineering can actually deliver.

You will

  • Reply to WhatsApp / email enquiries within one business day; run 4–8 discovery calls a week with HK SMEs and product teams
  • Map needs to our live offers: HK$1,399 fast website, OpenClaw / Hermes private AI (from HK$2,000), custom builds, forward-deployed embeds
  • Write short scopes (problem, out-of-scope, price, timeline) and get engineering sign-off before you send a quote
  • Keep a shared pipeline (Notion or spreadsheet is fine) with stage, next action, and close date — no CRM theatre
  • Hit a clear monthly target we set together (e.g. booked kickoffs + revenue on productized offers)

Requirements

  • 2+ years selling B2B services or software in Hong Kong (agency, consultancy, SaaS, or IT reseller)
  • Fluent spoken Cantonese and written English; comfortable pitching in either
  • Can explain a website build vs a custom app vs a private AI setup without reading a script
  • Used to WhatsApp / WeChat as a primary sales channel, not only email + Zoom
  • OK with deals from a few thousand HKD (productized) to six-figure custom — different cycle, same honesty

Nice to have

  • Existing network among HK retail, F&B, professional services, or startup operators
  • Basic familiarity with Stripe, domains/hosting, or common HK payment tools so scoping stays grounded

How to apply

  • Email enquiry@blend-it.hk with: CV, LinkedIn, and 5–8 lines on a deal you closed (what you sold, price band, how you won it)

Marketing Lead

Marketing · Hong Kong · Hybrid · Full-time / contract

Own demand and brand for a small eng-led studio. Site, blog.blend-it.hk, launches for productized offers — calm copy, real numbers, no generic AI sludge.

You will

  • Ship a monthly content plan: 2–4 pieces (EN and/or ZH) tied to live offers — website, private AI, forward-deployed, products
  • Rewrite and A/B homepage / offer pages with engineering: headlines, pricing clarity, WhatsApp CTAs that convert
  • Run lightweight paid or organic experiments (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or Xiaohongshu) with a small monthly budget and a written readout
  • Track what matters in GA4 / Search Console: enquiry volume, offer-page conversion, not vanity follower counts
  • Produce case notes and launch assets when we ship a demo or product (screenshots, one-pager, blog post)

Requirements

  • 3+ years B2B or services marketing with a portfolio of work you personally wrote or directed
  • Native-level English writing; Traditional Chinese copy you can ship yourself or with light edit
  • Hands-on with GA4, basic SEO (titles, internals, search intent), and at least one ads platform
  • Comfortable sitting with engineers to fact-check claims before publish
  • Based in Hong Kong or able to meet on-site weekly

Nice to have

  • Prior work for agencies, consultancies, or developer tools
  • Figma / Canva enough to make clean launch creatives without a full design team
  • Experience growing WhatsApp or WeChat as a conversion channel

How to apply

  • Email enquiry@blend-it.hk with: CV, 2–3 writing samples (links OK), and a 10-line critique of blend-it.hk — what you would change first and why

Forward Deployed Engineer

Engineering · Hong Kong · On-site / hybrid · Full-time

You embed in a client org for 1–3 months at a time. Their repos, their standups, their prod. Weekly demos. Handover is part of the job — not optional.

You will

  • Spend 2–5 days/week with a client (Central / Kowloon / remote as scoped); join their Slack/Teams and sprint rituals
  • Ship mergeable PRs every week in their stack — often TypeScript/Node, Python, or Java — plus integrations (REST, webhooks, internal DBs)
  • Write a short weekly status: done, risk, next — shared with client sponsor and Blend
  • Leave runbooks, env notes, and a 60–90 min handover session before the engagement ends
  • Escalate scope creep early; refuse silent overbuild

Requirements

  • 4+ years professional software engineering; at least 1 year in a client-facing, consultancy, or multi-codebase role
  • Strong in one modern backend + one frontend (e.g. Node/TypeScript + React, or Python + a web UI) — you adapt, you do not wait for the perfect stack
  • Comfortable reading an unfamiliar repo on day one and shipping a small production fix within the first week
  • Spoken Cantonese for on-site HK clients; written English for docs and PRs
  • Can pass a paid trial week on a real codebase if we both want proof before a longer embed

Nice to have

  • Cloudflare Workers, AWS/GCP, Docker, or CI you have owned in prod
  • Integrations with legacy ERP / POS / Excel-heavy workflows common in HK SMEs
  • Private / on-prem LLM or agent tooling (Ollama, OpenClaw, similar)

How to apply

  • Email enquiry@blend-it.hk with: CV, GitHub/portfolio, and a short note on the messiest production system you have improved — what broke, what you shipped

Product Engineer

Engineering · Hong Kong · Hybrid · Full-time

Build Blend’s own products — Blend RAG, Blend Agent, Cangjie Legend, and what comes next. Full ownership from problem to production. This is product engineering, not client services or productized websites.

You will

  • Own a product surface end to end: discovery, MVP, ship, iterate from real usage
  • Design and build APIs, data models, and UI that stay maintainable as the product grows
  • Instrument what you ship — logging, basic metrics, clear runbooks so the team can operate it
  • Partner with founders / design on prioritisation; cut scope hard when it protects quality
  • Review code, write docs, and leave the next engineer able to pick up without a call

Requirements

  • 3+ years shipping software products used by real users (not only internal tools or ticket queues)
  • Any language welcome — TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Java, or others — show production code you own
  • Comfortable across the stack enough to ship alone: backend + UI, or backend + solid product judgment with design support
  • Strong fundamentals: Git, testing where it pays off, staging/prod, debugging your own incidents
  • Can write a short product brief (user, problem, MVP, out-of-scope) and then build it
  • Hong Kong based or overlapping HK business hours

Nice to have

  • RAG, agents, or LLM-backed product experience with users in the loop
  • Prior startup or small-team role where you owned a surface, not a single layer
  • Cloudflare, edge, or similar deploy experience — useful, not required

How to apply

  • Email enquiry@blend-it.hk with: CV, 1–2 shipped products (links), and a short note on a product decision you made — what you cut and why
